Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time teaching opportunity is available for an experienced Elementary Education Teacher with a focus on English Language Arts (ELA) to instruct 5th-grade students in a K-12 school setting. This contract position offers the chance to contribute to general education classrooms in a supportive environment.

Location: Rockford, IL

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging ELA instruction to two 5th-grade classes
• Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards to promote literacy and language skills
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes
• Participate in professional development and mentorship programs to refine teaching methods

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in elementary education
• Proven ability to effectively teach English Language Arts within general education settings
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Experience teaching 5th grade preferred
