About the Role
The Company is seeking a Corporate Counsel with a focus on Intellectual Property (IP) to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal support in a wide range of complex IP issues, including government contract IP matters, commercial transactions, and managing global patent and trademark portfolios. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a Juris Doctor degree, a Bachelor's degree in an aerospace-related science or engineering field, and at least 8 years of IP experience. The Corporate Counsel will be expected to collaborate with law department colleagues, business partners, and management, and to have a deep understanding of the company's and sector's business, products, and technologies. Key responsibilities for the Corporate Counsel include strategic counseling, thought leadership, and the development and implementation of enterprise-level strategic IP initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IP-related transactions, negotiations, and the protection and enforcement of IP rights. Experience with U.S. government contract IP regulations and a DoD Secret level security clearance are preferred. The role demands an individual with exceptional judgment, integrity, and the ability to manage complex IP matters with a clear and strategic approach. The candidate should be adept at working in a collaborative and inclusive environment, with strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills. U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance is a must.
