Overview

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Warranty Analyst in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities

The Warranty Analyst is responsible for preparing warranty claims for submission to Heavy Equipment Vendors, including collaborating with the service departments to gather factual information to maximize the amount of recovery on each claim.

Qualifications

• Experience in a parts and service industry preferred.
• College degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements must be met for the Warranty Analyst job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
