ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Roanoke, Virginia.
Job Description & RequirementsOpportunity:
\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
\n• 13-week assignment with weekend requirement (may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule)
\n• Work on hospitalist unit/general medicine PCU with current 1:5 ratios (goal is 1:4)
\n• Float as needed to other PCU units and potentially Med Surg
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients on 20-bed telemetry PCU
\n• Manage patients with pulmonary and other medicine-related illnesses
\n• Work with chest tubes, IV drips (Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro), trachs, PICC lines
\n• Handle oxygen modes including CPAP and BiPAP
\n• Unit can accommodate 2 ventilated patients (chronic trach patients, not ICU level)
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Skills required: Telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care
\n• Epic experience required
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience required
\n• 32 hours of orientation provided
\n• Work at least 1 holiday per assignment (2 holidays during winter season)
\n• All RTO must be sent up front with submittal (Christmas RTO cannot be approved)
