A leading residential development company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Sacramento-based team. This high-impact role supports budgeting, forecasting, land acquisition modeling, and divisional performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts
• Support feasibility modeling for land acquisition and new project evaluation
• Assist in due diligence efforts and assemble land acquisition packages
• Produce detailed financial reports and management dashboards
• Maintain divisional KPIs and prepare weekly gross margin backlog updates
• Support pricing updates, lot release planning, and MLS coordination
• Generate monthly lot takedown reports and quarterly corporate reporting packages
• Update project Proformas and provide written variance explanations
• Coordinate monthly budget meetings across internal departments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or Master's a plus
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or accounting
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Real estate or homebuilding industry experience preferred but not required
• Advanced Excel skills; ability to build complex models and scenario analyses
• Experience with JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, SAP, or Business Objects is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to residential development or land acquisition analysis
• Background in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) within a project-based industry
• Hands-on experience supporting cross-functional teams and executive leadership
