Senior Environmental Project Manager – Austin, TX
We are looking for a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our Austin team. This is an opportunity to lead high-impact projects, manage client relationships, and mentor staff while driving regulatory compliance and project success. This opportunity is for someone with an environmental science, geology, or environmental engineering background.
Key Responsibilities
Lead environmental projects from investigation through remediation and regulatory closure
Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and deliverables
Direct multi-disciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
Prepare TCEQ TRRP submittals (APARs, RAPs, RACRs, etc.)
Coordinate with the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) on oil & gas remediation and closure projects
Ensure compliance with TCEQ, RRC, EPA, and local regulatory requirements
Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development
Provide senior-level review of data analysis, interpretations, and technical recommendations
Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture across all projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
8+ years of environmental consulting and remediation experience, with at least 3 years in project management
Expertise with TCEQ TRRP regulatory framework and deliverables (APARs, RAPs, RACRs)
Experience managing projects with the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) on oil & gas remediation and site closure
Knowledge of PST program requirements, soil/groundwater corrective action, and risk-based closure strategies
PE or PG license preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $110,000 – $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Phone stipend after 90 days
Overtime eligibility depending on workload and project demand
