8:05am – 2:20pm
12 months / 5 days per week
Salary:
$30,828 annually – NYS Certified Teacher Assistants
$29,324 annually – Teacher Aides
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work in the field of special education. You’ll collaborate with teachers, fellow aides/assistants, and therapists in a supportive environment. This role is perfect for college students or recent high school graduates seeking hands-on experience working with children with special needs.
School year follows most district calendars.
Small classroom settings (6–12 students).
12-month positions include the 10-month academic year plus a 6-week summer session.
Paid holidays and school breaks (Winter, February, Spring, and summer breaks surrounding the session).
Caring, compassionate individuals eager to work with students ages 3–12 with developmental disabilities.
Comfort assisting with social, emotional, and academic development, as well as personal care.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Prior special education classroom experience a plus.
Ability to lift children weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must complete an initial medical exam and background clearances.

Teacher Aides who pursue and obtain NYS Assistant Teacher Certification will be reimbursed for all costs by Little Village (details provided at interview).
