Job Title:Technician II (Quality Control) - Overnights

Location: 1710 Commercial Park, Coralville, Iowa - 52241

Shift - Monday – Friday from 8:00pm – 5:00am

Duration: 8 months (possible extension)

Hours /Wk: 40.00

Pay rate: $25.31/hr

Job Description:

• Quality control lab that focuses on testing purchased and produced raw materials. A strong chemistry background is preferred, with lab and instrumentation experience.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Support manufacturing by ensuring product and process quality through a variety of analytical test methods.
• Handle sample and reagent preparation in accordance with established SOPs for analytical and functional assays while maintaining detailed and accurate sample, product, and instrument records.
• Operate multiple analytical instruments (ie. NMR, GC, UV-Vis, Mass Spec, Capillary Electrophoresis, RP-HPLC) and process and analyze data to make pass/fail decisions on tested materials.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Associate’s degree and two years of applicable experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Proficiency with computers and a variety of software in a windows-based environment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with analytical instrumentation preferred.
