Our Real Estate client is seeking a Property Controller to manage the complete Month-end close for their residential portfolios. Experience with HUD Section 8 is preferred. To swiftly adapt to the position, familiarity with Yardi or MRI software is strongly recommended for handling tenant accounts and the general ledger. Their office headquarters are situated near MT Vernon NY, conveniently reachable from rt 95 or the Hutchinson River Parkway.

Property Controller
Approx. $140,000 to $145,000

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate Financial Statements and perform analysis
• Provide Written Variance Analysis – Budget vs Actual
• Manage Full Month end close
• Manage small accounting staff
• Perform Cash Journal Entries
• Preparing Tenant Statements and Rent Runs
• Experience with Tax Credit Management
• Affordable Housing Management
• Maintain Real Estate, Cam, and Utility Expenses
• Manage and Maintain CAM Charges
• Assists with Qtrly and Annual Audit
• Knowledge of GAAP and FASB

Skills Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, required
• At least 10yrs of Experience
• Yardi Voyager or MRI software experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
