As a Property Accountant, your responsibilities may include:

• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Analyzing and explaining budget/forecast variances and comparing results to prior periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders to resolve issues and drive business objectives
• Handling AIA billing and job costing tasks

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in property accounting or related field, preferably with a publicly traded company.
• Certification: CPA strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and ERP systems. Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial analysis.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
