Our Project Manager II oversees facilities project management across multiple Essentia Health sites, ensuring successful planning, design, and delivery of capital and operational projects. Additionally, they manage project scope, budget, schedule, and vendor relationships while coordinating with leaders and teams to align with organizational goals.Must live in/near Duluth (MN), Brainerd (MN) or Fargo (ND)

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required in Architecture, Engineering (any discipline), Project Management, Construction Management.

Required Experience:

  • 5 years experience in project management, process improvement and Lean/six sigma related work.
  • Demonstrated work in Facilities (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, and Healthcare) preferred.

Project Manager II will be responsible for various projects with a key focus on medium to high-risk projects. This can be demonstrated through projects with costs typically in the range of $1-10M or can be a combined portfolio of projects with increasing cost and complexity. All project managers equally work on expense or low cost/risk projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for facilities project management and overall delivery of projects to Essentia Health operations across multiple sites.
  • Partners and coordinates with leadership, support, and operational teams in the planning, development, design, and execution of various facilities initiatives.
  • Provides project level oversight and participates in all facilities project service aspects including the establishment and continual monitoring of scope, budget and schedule, procurement of outside vender services, delegation of responsibilities, monitoring of project process and the timely completion of project closeout.
  • Works jointly with other facilities operational areas on implementation of the organization’s capital initiatives.
  • Assists with defining facilities project strategies that are consistent with Essentia Health’s strategies, policies and procedures, mission, values and goals.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Must be able to manage and organize a large workload for timely completion of projects through the programming, approval, design, construction, occupancy, and project close out phases.
  • Able to effectively manage projects that may require committee approvals, sensitive projects, and must require coordination and interaction with a diverse group of departments, vendors, and Industry Partners for successful project delivery. 

This is a hybrid role and would require the employee to live in/near Duluth, MN, Brainerd, MN or Fargo, ND.
