We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to provide outpatient-style rehabilitation care within a California correctional healthcare setting.
💼 Job title: Physical Therapist 📍 Location: Wasco, CA ⏰ Schedule: Wednesday & Thursday only Shift: 7am - 5:30pm 📋 Duration: 6 months (Renewable)🤝 Payrate: $75-$78/hour What You'll Do:
🎯 Deliver care within scope of licensure and CDCR policy, consistent with evidence-based practices. 🏥 Provide Physical Therapy evaluations and treatment on an as-needed, pre-scheduled basis. 📋 Treat patients/youth upon physician referral or direct access (with documented diagnosis).
🤝 Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans; communicate plans to patients and staff.
💪 Complete progress notes and evaluations using CDCR-approved documentation.
📊 Be available for telephone consultations during duty hours.
📋 Maintain daily charting; delinquent records (over 10 days) may lead to termination.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Minimum 12 months of relevant experience within the last 3 years.
✅ Valid California Physical Therapy license (must be current and maintained).
✅ Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program .
✅ Must have current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross with AED). ✅ Must comply with 8 CCR 5199 respiratory protection standards (N95/PAPR clearance and training).
