Personal Trust Administrator at Piper Companies summary:

As a Personal Trust Administrator, you support Personal Trust Officers by managing administrative tasks related to trust accounts, ensuring compliance with fiduciary standards, and processing financial transactions such as bill payments and tax distributions. You coordinate with Compliance and New Business teams to complete AML, KYC, and onboarding documentation while preparing materials for trust committee reviews. Strong communication, organizational skills, and knowledge of financial services and trust administration are essential for this hybrid role based in Wilmington, DE.

Piper Companies is seeking a Personal Trust Administrator for a financial services company. This is a direct hire/permanent position and is hybrid (3 days per week on-site in Wilmington, DE ).
Responsibilities:
  • Support Personal Trust Officers with daily administrative tasks related to trust account management.
  • Gain working knowledge of fiduciary standards and apply them in the handling of trust-related matters.
  • Process financial transactions such as bill payments, tax distributions, and account openings or closures.
  • Draft correspondence, organize incoming mail, and prepare documentation for trust committee reviews and special asset handling.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and New Business teams to ensure proper completion of AML, KYC, and onboarding documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant work experience in an administrative role. Exposure to banking and financial statements or trust administration experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team is a must.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
  • Attend to details while maintaining a big picture orientation.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, in particular Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
Compensation:
- Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
- Comprehensive benefit package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, sick leave as required by law
