About the Role

Gap Inc. is embarking on a bold, multi-year Product-to-Market (P2M) Transformation to reimagine our product engine and unlock new levels of creativity, speed, and resilience. Speed to-Market is one of three core pillars of this journey, charged with designing, piloting, and scaling the future-state operating model for how we imagine and develop products for our customers.

This isnt just about moving faster; its about building the industrys most forward-looking model, one that integrates AI, advanced analytics, and best-in-class practices to empower leaders across our brands. By simplifying execution, strengthening strategic foresight, and unleashing creativity, we will accelerate development cycles, sharpen customer relevance, and unlock revenue growth.

As Director of Speed-to-Market Transformation, youll be at the center of this reinvention. You will partner with senior brand and enterprise leaders to operationalize next-generation toolsfrom AI-powered visual assorting and predictive line planning to insights-driven store mappingensuring creativity and strategy take center stage.

What You'll Do

Define & Deliver the Future State

  • Partner with senior leaders to design, pilot, and scale a world-class Speed-to-Market operating model, embedding industry-leading practices and AI capabilities.
  • Reimagine processes from annual product and customer strategy through buy confirmation, enabling smarter, faster, more strategic decision-making.
  • Operationalize innovative tools (visual assorting, line planning, insights, store mapping), ensuring seamless integration with Digital Product Creation and Merchandise Planning & Inventory Optimization pillars.

Program Leadership & Governance

  • Lead delivery of program objectives, ensuring scope, timelines, and KPIs are achieved with measurable impact.
  • Establish frameworks for value realization, governance, and milestone management to sustain transformation at scale.
  • Anticipate risks and dependencies; proactively activate partners and AI-driven insights to resolve challenges before they impact results.

Cross-Functional Influence

  • Build trusted partnerships across design, merchandising, inventory management, and operations to drive alignment and adoption.
  • Influence and inspire teams to embrace AI-enabled ways of working, creating space for leaders to focus on creativity and strategic thinking.
  • Lead change management and capability building to embed transformation into the DNA of the organization.

Communication & Engagement

  • Develop compelling executive-level storytelling that mobilizes alignment and excitement for the transformation journey.
  • Partner with change and engagement teams to create strategies that embed Speed to Market as a core growth enabler.

Who You Are

  • A transformation leader with 12+ years of experience in product-to-market, retail apparel, merchandising, design, or operations.
  • Skilled in strategy and large-scale transformation with proven success designing and implementing new operating models in complex, multi-brand environments.
  • Passionate about the power of AI and industry-leading practices to simplify execution, spark creativity, and accelerate business impact.
  • Adept at building trust with senior executives, aligning on strategic agendas, and translating vision into scalable outcomes.
  • A bold thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills who thrives in ambiguity and inspires others to embrace change.
  • A skilled communicator and storyteller, able to connect transformation to strategy and purpose

Salary Range: $168,300 - $223,000 USD

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
