Forklift Repair Technician (Electric forklift repair exp. required)

El Paso, TX

Co. supplies equipment and tools specifically designed for moving, lifting, or transporting goods and materials.

Hours: M-F 8am to 5pm (Includes a 1 hour lunch)

Pay: $20-$24/hr (based on experience)

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Forklift Technician with electric forklift repair expereince to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with forklift maintenance and repairs, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining workplace safety standards.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with engines, brakes, transmissions, and lifting mechanisms.
• Conduct comprehensive equipment diagnostics using specialized tools and software. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about equipment status and repair needs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Forklift Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy parts and equipment.
• Certifications (such as ASE or forklift-specific credentials) are preferred but not required.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational certification is a plus.
