A Day in the Life We are looking for a Financial Consultant to join our Contract Manufacturing Finance team. In this role, you will collaborate with the Global Contract Manufacturing team to design and implement standardized financial processes that strengthen Operating Unit (OU) collaboration. Your work will directly support gross margin improvement initiatives while driving reductions in scrap and inventory levels. Additionally, you will partner with Contract Manufacturing Leaders to align financial insights with business strategy and support successful execution. The primary responsibilities of this role include: Lead the design and deployment of standard finance processes to support margin opportunity identification Development of standard reporting and communications across Enterprise Operations and OUs Prioritization process standard deployment Continuously monitor and appropriately prioritize pipeline of gross margin opportunities Partner with Gross Margin Governance team and OU finance to streamline and define ongoing operating mechanisms (i.e., alignment of savings, investments and resources and tiered mgmt. approach to project governance) Support development and reporting of shared goals and KPIs Partner with OU finance to align project planning calendars (i.e., AOP, Strat Plan) Partner with Innovation Excellence leader to deploy operations finance standards in R&D processes serving as primary point of contact for R&D Finance COE (attend R&D Finance Council to ensure better connectivity between Enterprise Operations and R&D Finance) Minimum Qualifications Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Nice to Have Qualifications Comfort with ambiguity and change management Strong ability to partner with senior leadership and others, facilitate decision-making activities, build relationship networks at all levels, and lead change Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and translate financial data into meaningful, concise information Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating actionable insights and analysis Experience with Medtronic financial systems Solid financial and business management foundation Experience in navigating and working within a matrix organization Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI Required Knowledge and Experience Requires mastery level knowledge of specialty area and working knowledge of several other areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have deep knowledge of project management. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $133,600.00 - $200,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
