The Financial Information Services Agency-Office of Payroll Administration (FISA-OPA) has a vacancy for a Director of Risk Management . The Director of Risk Management will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer . This individual will be responsible for managing the entire risk portfolio of FISA-OPA. This includes translating technical risks to business processes and documenting those risks as part of a larger KPI dashboard or tracking solution. The individual will work closely with the CISO to understand how security risks impact business processes and with the Director of Disaster Recovery and Change Management to assess and document agency resilience capabilities. Primary Responsibilities: Partner with key stakeholders to identify, assess, and document risks and controls, including those related to new or modified products, services, channels, regulations, and third-party operations. Present findings to leadership regarding system risks or failures, including impacts on business operations. Implement new risk policies, practices, and solutions to manage risks according to industry standards. Enhance tools and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report data risks. Support stress testing and evaluate results to develop contingency plans in collaboration with stakeholders. Work with the CISO and Disaster Recovery Director to develop a comprehensive understanding of organizational risk posture through risk matrix cross-referencing. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Subject Matter Expert in Risk Management frameworks and processes. Experience mapping business operations to risk categories. Proficiency documenting critical functions and processes. Ability to identify and categorize operational and compliance risks. Skill in developing risk policies and procedures. Capability to correlate information from various systems and teams to evaluate risks. Experience with cloud transformation projects, vendor risk, and product risk management. Proficiency in automation scripting, SQL, and dashboard creation. Experience with legal contract reviews. Technical background in Information Security, Cloud Services, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery.
