Director of Global Corporate Communications Dreamhaven is a leading global video game company that prides itself on creating immersive and innovative gaming experiences. We're seeking a Director of Corporate Communications to help us build a game company based on our shared values and relentless passion for making meaningful player experiences. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven and experienced storyteller with tried-and-true experience in corporate communications, consumer PR, social impact communications, and social media in the video games development space. This is a leadership role that works with cross-functional leaders and reports to the Head of Operations. What You Will Do Develop and own corporate messaging strategies, for Dreamhaven's corporate identity and global public presence Advise and drive corporate communications for Dreamhaven, internal studios, partnerships, corporate culture, social impact, and recruiting, and manage corporate communication channels (website and social media). Build and maintain strategic media relationships, develop and pitch stories to secure coverage, and collaborate with stakeholders on media strategy. Develop risk mitigation plans, lead response efforts and provide clear directives, coordinate internal responses and executive briefings, and draft internal and external communications. Secure speaking opportunities for key spokespeople, manage development plans for current and future spokespeople, provide media training and counseling, and establish guidelines for public representation of studio values. Develop core narratives and key messaging, provide counsel and partnership to senior leaders, drive executive speaking engagements and speechwriting, and draft high-level communications for leadership. Maintain a cohesive internal communications strategy, ensure employee engagement and awareness, establish a consistent DH voice aligned with culture and values, and develop timely communication materials for company updates. As always, there may be projects and priorities that pop-up and require leadership or support that is outside of the responsibilities outlined. You are required to lean in and do work outside of the scope of your job description. What We Need Previous Communications experience in a world-class global organization, with a strong preference to video games in a leadership capacity. Track record working with press, agency/vendor management, and excellent skills in writing press releases and content in clear and consistent brand voice. A leader with strategic thinking, creativity, and strong business acumen that also enjoys being in the trenches and rolling up their sleeves. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including studio leadership, marketing, HR, legal, and executive leadership, to align communication strategies with overall business goals. Proven leadership and consensus-building skills in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment with competing priorities, ensuring the ability to deliver results. Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear, concise and conversational manner. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to rapidly changing business needs. Proven ability to develop risk mitigation plans, lead response efforts, and provide clear directives during crises. Ability to innovate and adapt communication strategies in response to emerging trends and changing industry dynamics. Understanding and appreciation of cultural differences and the ability to tailor communications for diverse global audiences. Ability to travel to the office located in Irvine, CA at least 2-3 days in a week. The base salary range for this position is $150,473 to $250,789 USD per year, which is associated with our Level 5 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven's total compensation package for team members and exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
