Schedule: 3pm to 11:30pm every other weekend

The role you'll contribute:

\n \n\n \n

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.

\n \n\n \n

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
\n \n
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
\n \n
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
\n \n
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
\n \n
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Qualifications

\n \n

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

\n \n\n \n\n

\n
• Graduate of a 2-year allied health program preferred.
\n \n
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
\n \n
• Radiology Technician credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
\n \n
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
\n \n
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
\n \n
• CT experience preferred.
\n \n\n \n\n
