Controller

Location: Elmhurst, IL (On-site, 5 days/week) Salary Range: $100,000 $140,000

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of three accounting professionals
• Oversee and execute the full month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close (within a 710 day window)
• Support cross-training and provide backup for AP, AR, and billing functions as needed
• Assist with process improvements, ad hoc projects, and year-end physical inventory activities
• Collaborate closely with the CFO on financial operations and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
• Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams
• 7+ years of experience owning month-end-close procedures
• Sales tax knowledge and experience required
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high-volume environment
