About the Opportunity

FocusPoint is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to identify a Coding Quality Review Specialist who will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellence in medical coding practices. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of coded medical records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Identify coding errors, trends, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable feedback to coding teams.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, coding professionals, and compliance officers to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and payer-specific requirements.
• Support ongoing education and training initiatives to elevate coding quality across the organization.
• Prepare detailed reports and summaries of audit findings for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent credential required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in medical coding and quality review, preferably in a hospital or large physician practice setting.
• Strong knowledge of coding guidelines, compliance regulations, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate findings clearly.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
