GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of high-profile service operation working in the bartending service.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, high-energy, and physically demanding environment.

  • Occasionally work up to 40+ hours per week, depending on the needs of the property.

  • Must be able to spend a minimum of 90% of working time standing.

  • The ability to walk, bend, kneel, handle, reach, squat, crawl, stoop, and other related physical activities.

  • Comfortable working in walk-in coolers and freezers.

  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

  • Able to read and follow written/oral instructions.

  • Be at least 21 years of age, This is required for Bartenders ONLY

  • Have excellent knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.

  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register or POS system.

  • The ability to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays, as needed.

  • Safety and sanitation fundamentals. Practice safe and effective methods of work, use of equipment, cleaners, and tools.

  • Basic understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.

  • ServSafe Certification required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take food & beverage orders from members and guests. Enter orders carefully and properly into the POS system to avoid making mistakes and waste

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Club’s standard drink recipes

  • Learn the names and personally recognize our members, partners, vendors, and regulars.

  • Record orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.

  • Wash and sterilize glassware to restock back bar areas

  • Set up for events, carry trays, serve members/guests, and clean up at the event's conclusion. Set up can include moving bars, alcohol, and glasses, arranging and cleaning bar areas.

  • Prepare garnishes for drinks in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.

  • Clear and reset tables.

  • Preset menus, make recommendations and answer questions with confidence and full, in-depth knowledge of the menu.

  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar and service stations including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.

  • Communicate any issues with food service or dining issues to the Managers in a timely manner

  • Assist in the opening and closing duties for each shift and occasional dining set-ups (buffets, displays, etc.)

  • Following Clubhouse closing procedures to ensure the checklist is complete, doors are locked and all lights are off. Events to be responsible for closing doors and lights should Event exceed restaurant hours

  • Gracefully present, open, and serve bottles of wine in a professional manner

  • Receive and serve food orders correctly, as outlined in the training program

  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to F&B Manager

  • Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and service supplies

  • Keep bar and service area clean and up to health codes provided by F&B Manager

  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
