Job Title : Area Vice President of Sales – Northeast Region
Location : Northeast Region (Remote, Minneapolis-based candidates welcome)
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Area Vice President of Sales to lead commercial execution and drive revenue growth in the Northeast Region. This senior sales leader will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, driving new business, expanding current accounts, and executing strategic plans aligned with aggressive growth targets in the medical device or healthcare solutions space.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute sales strategy for both new and existing accounts.
Promote a clear closing strategy for sales representatives in their territories.
Guide team on strategies for customer retention and account expansion.
Analyze competitive landscape, market needs, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
Leadership & Team Development
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Territory Account Managers and Business Development Representatives.
Build and implement standardized sales processes and performance goals.
Recruit, onboard, and develop sales talent to meet regional and organizational objectives.
Account Management
Cultivate relationships with executive-level stakeholders across healthcare systems.
Lead contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Ensure delivery of clear clinical, operational, and financial value propositions to customers.
Drive ROI-focused discussions using customer metrics and performance data.
Revenue Growth & Forecasting
Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
Oversee pipeline health, sales forecasting, and funnel management.
Collaborate cross-functionally to transition new business from evaluation to stable account status.
Identify market share growth opportunities and develop execution tactics accordingly.
Stay current with technical, clinical, and economic aspects of the portfolio.
Represent the company at conferences, events, and national meetings.
Consistently communicate value propositions across internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
10+ years of experience in medical device sales, with a track record of high performance in consumables / disposables.
Minimum of 4 years of sales leadership experience with team-building responsibility.
Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets and scaling regional performance.
Expertise in consultative selling, strategic account management, and customer lifecycle management.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate at all organizational levels.
Experience managing CRM, sales metrics, and performance reporting tools.
Comfortable traveling up to 75% throughout the region.
