Job Summary

Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for an Analyst General/Engineering. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do

This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating and supporting the development of cost reduction and optimization actions for current model vehicles. This role will co-lead the identification and prioritization of actions along with Marketing and Design teams. Responsibilities span all systems with the potential to grow into future model vehicles. Daily tasks include developing a list of actions to achieve the vehicle level tasks and gaining cross functional agreement to proceed.

Basics

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Product Development – Knowledge of Automotive development processes.
  • Data Analysis – Ability to review data and draw conclusions.
  • Microsoft Excel – Ability to work in excel required.
  • Budgets/Timing – Ability to under timing plans and basic ability to understand and, eventually create, basic business cases.
  • Business Analysis - basic ability to understand and, eventually create, basic business cases.
  • Product Management – General knowledge of timing plans, understanding of deliverables / timing.
  • Communications – PowerPoint, agendas, meeting minutes, presentation, clear communication.
  • Passion for optimization, problem solving and strategy development to deliver a desired outcome.
  • Cross Functional knowledge of a vehicle including systems / subsystems and the vehicle product development cycle.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, escalating where necessary for support and regularly reporting on the progress of each initiative.
  • Self-starter; ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and both clear and concise oral and written communications.
  • Onsite position. Monday to Thursday at the office.
