STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Interior Finishers in Grand Junction, Colorado to join a team that specializes in high-end aircraft cabinet finishes. This role focuses on wood surface preparation, sanding, staining, and applying gloss or satin finishes to luxury business jet interiors. Key Responsibilities: Apply stains, lacquers, clear coats, and other wood finishes to aircraft interior components Perform wet and dry sanding of hardwood and veneer surfaces Identify and match colors for finish continuity and custom modifications Assist with surface prep and paint techniques for major interior refurbishment projects Maintain clean workspaces and follow all safety guidelines Perform routine shop maintenance and support repair of tools and equipment Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines Communicate clearly with team leads and supervisors regarding project updates Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in cabinet finishing for aircraft, RVs, yachts, or similar fields preferred Working knowledge of finish materials including stains, lacquers, catalysts, and thinners Familiarity with sanding techniques and spray equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, polished finishes Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Basic written and verbal communication skills Valid driver’s license or passport preferred but not required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Routine standing, bending, squatting, and use of hands for detailed work Comfortable working in confined spaces around aircraft interiors Repetitive hand and arm motions required for sanding and spraying Work Environment: Work performed in heated hangars or interior shop environments Occasional outdoor work on the ramp as needed Exposure to finishing materials and chemical agents; PPE provided Use of finishing tools, spray guns, sanding equipment, and standard shop machinery Benefits: STS Technical Services offers a competitive compensation package and full benefits, including: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Career growth opportunities in a fast-paced aviation environment About STS Technical Services: STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with some of the largest names in aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial industries.
