Job Description

The Shenandoah Valley Soil & Water Conservation District has an
opening for a full-time Agricultural Administrative Assistant. The
administrative position will focus on supporting technical staff with
the implementation of the Virginia Agricultural Cost Share Program
and will perform a wide range of administrative duties pertaining to the
implementation of District programs.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid
drivers license. Requirements for the position include proficiency
in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace applications.
Applicants must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Applicants must also have the ability to work independently and in a
team environment, multitask in a busy environment, prioritize, and
communicate effectively. The ideal applicant will have knowledge
of agricultural operations, conservation issues, and agricultural best
management practices. Employment is conditional upon successful
completion of background checks.
The hiring range is $39,000-$59,000, commensurate with skills and
experience. The benefits package includes health insurance, retirement,
and paid leave.
